Osei Baffour Frimpong is the Regional Researcher at the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) and also provides conflict analysis in the area of environmental security to support the Early Warning Department. Osei holds an MA in International Affairs from the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD), University of Ghana and BA in English/Sociology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he was also a Teaching and Research Assistant from 2008-2009. Between 2013 and 2014, he was a VLIR-UOS Scholar at the Institute of Development Policy (IOB), University of Antwerp, Belgium where he obtained a Master of Science Degree in Governance and Development from the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB). Osei has over eight years’ experience in Conflict Analysis, Peacebuilding and Governance. Prior to his appointment at WANEP, he was ECOWAS Field Monitor, providing country (Ghana) conflict analysis for the ECOWAS Early Warning Department. He is a former Southern Voices Network for Peacebuilding (SVNP) Scholar, Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, Washington DC.
