Ansoumane Samassy Souare joined WANEP in 2015 as an intern and is currently the Officer in charge of the WANEP Peace Monitoring Center (PMC). He holds an MA in International Affairs, from the Legon Centre of International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD), University of Ghana (2013-2014) and a BA in Political Science, from General Lansana Conté University of Sonfonia, Conakry, Guinea (2008-2013). He is bilingual and speaks fluent French and English. Over the years, he has been facilitated trainings for WANEP’s Community conflicts early warning monitors across West Africa. Ansoumane has also participated in a number of professional trainings including: Regional training to Enhance Conflict Prevention and Peacemaking in Africa- The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) ; Human Rights Protection in West Africa- Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Accra-Ghana; Humanitarian Assistance in West Africa (HAWA) core course- Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Accra-Ghana; Risk management in Early Warning- Institute of Security Study (ISS) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Gender and Peacebuilding course – West Africa Peacebuilding Institute, Accra-Ghana; Dialogue and Mediation: Design and Processes”-West Africa Peacebuilding Institute, Accra, Ghana; Strengthening Regional Prevention Capacity on Countering Violent Extremism” Global Center on Cooperative Security, Accra, Ghana.
