Theme: Reflecting on Women’s Leadership and Political Participation in the 2025 Elections in Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau
The Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Desk of the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) is pleased to invite you to the 17th edition of its GenderTalk Series, a flagship initiative dedicated to advancing dialogue on gender, peace, and security in the region.
This edition will reflect on women’s leadership and political participation in the context of the upcoming 2025 elections in Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.
Objective of the Webinar
The session aims to foster experience sharing and meaningful dialogue on initiatives undertaken to enhance women’s leadership and participation in political governance across the target countries.
Specifically, it will seek to:
- Examine progress achieved since the last electoral cycle, as well as ongoing efforts to promote women’s leadership and participation in the forthcoming elections;
- Identify existing gaps, highlight good practices, and develop actionable recommendations to inform future policy reforms and programme interventions.
