PEACE AND SECURITY OVERVIEW OF WEST AFRICA

The West Africa region continues to be confronted with human security challenges that affect stability, peace, and security in many countries across the ECOWAS Member States. In the quarter under review, WANEP’s 550 community monitors across the region reported 2006 human security-related incidents. These incidents led to 2768 deaths, injuries to 2882 people, and property damage.
