The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), the Social Science Research Council (SSRC), and the Conflict Research Network (CORN) West Africa are pleased to invite you to the high-level policy dialogue on \u201cUnderstanding the Geopolitical and Strategic Changes in West Africa: Emerging Challenges and the Future of ECOWAS.\u201d The event will take place from 15-16 April 2025 at the Alisa Hotel, Accra, Ghana. This dialogue will bring together policymakers, civil society organisations, analysts, researchers, and key stakeholders from ECOWAS and beyond to reflect on the evolving challenges in West Africa and explore the role of ECOWAS in addressing regional security and stability in this changing geopolitical landscape.<\/p>\n

The keynote address, \u201cReflections on the State of Affairs in West Africa,\u201d will be delivered by Ambassador Dr Abdel-Fatau Musah, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security at ECOWAS. His insights will provide invaluable perspectives on the current state of regional affairs, emerging geopolitical challenges, and the strategic role of ECOWAS moving forward.
