A new publication entitled \u201cStretching the Truth: The Uncertain Promise of
\nTRC\u2019s in Africa\u2019s Transitional Justice\u201d, authored by George Wachira with
\nPrisca Kamungi and Kalie Sillah was launched at a seminar on Truth and Reconciliation Commissions in Africa held on August 7, 2014 at the
\nDesmond Tutu Conference center, Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n
The seminar aptly tagged; \u201cRoles, Lessons and Challenges of Truth and
\nReconciliation Commissions in Africa\u2019s Transitional Justice,\u201d was organized
\nby the Nairobi Peace Initiative \u2013 Africa (NPI-Africa) in partnership with
\nWANEP and supported by the International Development Research Centre,
\nIDRC and was attended by high level participants drawn from civil society,
\nacademia, development partners among others.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the occasion, WANEP Program Director, Mr. Chukwuemeka Eze
\nacknowledged that the partnership between WANEP and NPI-Africa has
\nculminated into the formation of he African Alliance for Peacebuilding and
\nultimately resulted to the publication being launched at the seminar .<\/p>\n
